L'attente, encore l'attente...

Nous savons maintenant que la cessation de paiement va être décalée au 28 octobre, mais ensuite ?
Les employés s'accrochent aux bribes d'informations qu'ils obtiennent du CE. La direction mondiale n'a pas encore parlé.
Et chaque jour, la liste des licenciements et des fermetures d'entreprises s'allonge - à combien en est-on en France depuis le 1er octobre ?
Nous savons que notre histoire commence à faire du bruit dans les autres filiales européennes et dans la presse, ce qui est réconfortant.
Ne pas partir dans l'indifférence, c'est important. C'est une question de dignité.


Vendredi dernier, à 13 h, nous croisons des représentants de la CGT d'une usine d'équipement automobile à Dijon, venus manifester au salon Equip Auto à Villepinte.

En voyant nos slogans collés aux fenêtres, ils s'approchent et entament la conversation :
- Vous aussi ? Combien d'employés sont touchés ?
- 127 et vous ?
- 140* - qui vous représente ?
- Maître Brihi et vous ?
- Maître XXXX*... Vous avez contacté un expert juridique ?
- Oui et vous ?
- Oui... Et vous allez faire quoi ? Nous, on vient de Dijon, on est monté à Paris, on va en Pologne bientôt et s'il le faut, on ira jusque dans le Michigan pour défendre notre usine.
- Ah oui, quand même...
- Vous savez, quand je suis entré à la CGT, on m'a dit : "Il y a deux choses à savoir : 1) Un patron exploite toujours ses employés pour se faire de l'argent. Après, il y a exploitation et exploitation. 2) Ne sors jamais d'une réunion sans un papier signé. Si c'est juste une poignée de main, ça vaut rien.

Waiting, again and again...

Now, we know that the suspension of payments will be delayed to the 28th of October, but what's going to happen afterwards? 
The employees hold on to the snippets of informations they get from the Works Council. The global management hasn't said anything yet. 
Everyday, the list of redundancy plans and company closures gets bigger - How many have there been in France since the 1st of October ? 
We know that our story is starting to make noise in the other European subsidiaries and in the press, which is comforting. 
It's important not to leave amid indifference. It's a question of dignity. 

Last Friday, at 1pm, we meet members of the French trade union General Confederation of Labour, from an automobile equipment factory in Dijon, who came to demonstrate at the exhibition Equip Auto in Villepinte.

They see our slogans stuck on the windows, come to us and start talking to us :
- So, you too? How many employees are affected? 
- 127, and you? 
- 140* - who represents you? 
- Mr Brihi, and you?
- Mr XXX... Have you talked with a legal expert yet? 
- Yes, and you?
- Yes... And what are you planning to do? We come from Dijon, we went to Paris, we're going to Poland soon, and if we have to, we'll go to Michigan to defend our factory. 
- Oh, wow...
- You know, when I joined this trade union, someone told me: "There are two things you need to know: 1) A boss always exploits his employees to make money. Then, there's exploitation and exploitation. 2) Never leave a meeting without a signed paper. A handshake is nothing.
